ATTENTION FRESHMAN STUDENTS in CIDSE
By now most of you have probably noticed an Advising Engineering-2013 Spring hold on My ASU. Hint: you should see this on the right-hand side of MyASU in My Tasks under “Holds.”
ASU’s Registrar put this “hold” on your account because all ASU freshman students are required to meet with their academic advisor prior to Spring 2013 registration.
How can you get the Advising Hold removed?
- Attend a CIDSE Group Advising Session. In October, CIDSE Advising will offer group advising sessions to guide you in selecting your spring classes and to remove the 2013 Spring advising holds. Announcements will be made in your FSE 100 classes about the upcoming dates for these sessions and will include information on how to register for a session. And, you can register now for a CIDSE Group Advising Session by going to https://fultonapps.asu.edu/signup/cidseftf
- If you prefer to have a one-on-one advising session, simply schedule an appointment with your CIDSE Advisor. You and your advisor will discuss how things are going for you right now, and talk about your course selections for Spring semester (2013). To schedule a one-on-one advising session, simply go to https://fultonapps.asu.edu/advising/
- If you already have scheduled an individual appointment to talk about Spring classes with your advisor, we still recommend that you attend a Group Advising session as there will be helpful information given to you and your CIDSE peers. Also this will be an opportunity for you to potentially work on scheduling your classes during this time.
We hope you’re having a great first semester at ASU and we look forward to meeting with you in the upcoming weeks as you prepare for the Spring 2013 semester.
