Yinong Chen joined ASU in 2001. From 1994 to 2000, he was a lecturer and senior lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and was the founder and leader of the Research Program for Highly Dependable Systems there. He performed postdoctoral research at the University of Karlsruhe and at LAAS-CNRS in France. Chen has (co-) authored three textbooks, one research book and more than 100 research papers.
Chen’s primary research interests are service-oriented computing, embedded systems, fault-tolerant computing, distributed systems, communication protocols and networks.
