The CIDSE Advising Center has created a student volunteer group that aids the Undergraduate Advisors in recruitment and retention of students in CIDSE.
CIDSE Mentors volunteer at Freshman Orientation Programs and assist with CIDSE Freshman Group Advising. They play a key role in helping incoming students transition to CIDSE@ASU. Members may visit area high schools and community colleges as representatives of CIDSE, Fulton Engineering and ASU. Mentors are instrumental in educating students about the various degree programs offered through CIDSE. CIDSE Mentors are provided with an opportunity to develop presentation skills while encouraging recruitment and retention within CIDSE and within ASU.
We are always looking for new volunteers to help us throughout the academic year. We are looking for students in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0. We are also looking for students who would be able to volunteer for at least 3 summer orientation sessions and Fall Welcome. If you are interested in joining this group please send an email expressing your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to working with you!
