Nathan Gaw is pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at Arizona State University and does research in data mining, machine learning and biomedical informatics at the ASU-Mayo Clinic Imaging Informatics Laboratory. He is developing novel, innovative algorithms for use with many applications. Nathan applies most of his algorithms to analyze structural and functional magnetic resonance image data, tissue contrasts, and genetic data for the purpose of classification and inferring important features in these data sets.
Nathan has also earned a B.S.E. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering. This background has given Nathan a unique knowledge about different biomedical paradigms, which helps him better interpret medical data and properly frame tests to suit each data type.
