Araxi Hovhannessian

Araxi HovhannessianAraxi has been with ASU for a number of years and is currently the graduate advisor for Industrial Engineering and Computer Science. Her background includes, teaching counseling courses, directing and coordinating minority and retention programs including mentoring and tutoring programs. She has extensive background evaluating graduate and undergraduate transcripts. She is certified to administer and interpret various entrance and career assessment tools to provide an overall holistic evaluation of the student’s academic and careering preparedness.

Araxi completed her Ph.D. in Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology in January 2010. Her dissertation topic was “Women’s Acculturation in Defining Self and Spiritual Self: An Integral Method”, and her committee members were Mark McCaslin (Chair), Sophie Arao-Nguyen and Patricia Arredondo.
