Three CIDSE graduate students received a 2021 Knowledge Mobilization Award on Friday, April 9 after a full-day showcase of graduate student and postdoctoral research. The awards, sponsored by the Graduate College’s Knowledge Mobilization Initiative, recognize the innovation and ingenuity of ASU scholars working to advance academic knowledge beyond the university through use-inspired, socially impactful research.

  • Akshay Kumar Dileep, software engineering, for “Early Detection of At-Risk Students in a Calculus Course” in the Masters: Completed Research category.
  • Man Luo, computer science, for “Semantic Information Retrieval in Biomedical Domain: in the Doctoral: Research in Progress category.
  • Marzieh Bitaab, computer science, for “Detecting Scam Websites at Scale” in the Doctoral: Completed Research category.
